What type of water is good for you? That is somewhat controversial. Everyone has their preference. The idea is... to make an informed decision of your own...this should get your started with some basic info...
Tap Water
I think the thing most agreed on in the "water" topic is: that you need to eliminate drinking Tap Water if you are on a municipal water supply. Chlorine and fluoride (chemicals used to treat tap water) are extremely detrimental to your health as they are toxic substances in even small quantities. Recently at a trade show, the municipality of the city was representing the city tap water as safe because they filter it, and asking why would anyone pay extra to buy filtered water (they must have some misconception about chlorine and fluoride being good for the body and have never seen the studies done on either) Also, it makes you think more about using Chlorine to wash your whites since i have read that it can also be absorbed through your skin in the shower and through bleached fabric. YIKES!
So what is Drinking Water??? - Tap water :)
Even bottled water can legally contain up to 50% tap water, can contain plastics from the bottles. Instead, I strongly encourage the use of water filters, for further information contact the clinic.
Spring or filtered / purified waters seem to be the preferred source of water for some.
Spring Water is very popular and usually the least expensive for restaurants to buy so it is widely available. Spring water is good if you are visiting a different country, to get the local bacteria to help your body fight disease there. Misunderstood, I think is the idea that spring water has the minerals you need. Mostly these minerals are too big in molecule for the body to absorb them and they end up depositing in your body where you don't want them. I really do not like the taste and texture of most spring water and usually it does not muscle test well (I muscle test the water before I drink it, which tells me if it is ok to drink)
Bottled Water Note: After drinking directly from any water bottle you should never let the rest of the water sit overnight and drink from it again the next day due to contaminants the develop overnight from the bacteria in the saliva backwash.
Most of the water supplies in this country have been polluted with a number of dangerous compounds, posing a serious health threat. If you have your own Well make certain to have your water tested. I recommend a very detailed test with a nationally certified lab for the most feedback.
Most agree to avoid Distilled Water but some say it is the closest to rain water, as all of the residue and minerals have been removed as the water turns to steam and then revaporizes into water. The undesirable part of this is, if the water has chemicals like pesticides which can vaporize they then can end up in the water
Since Distilled water has no minerals, this can act to draw the minerals out of your body but with a good diet of healthy vegetables, fruits, seeds etc. you would be getting minerals back. Distilled water for a short course of detoxification may be recommended to help pull impurities out of your body.
Purified water is filtered, the better the filter (and the higher the cost), the better the purification is what I have found. Purified is compared to distilled however without the revaporized pesticides or chemicals. Most filter out 99% of everything, which means, you still get that 1%, I guess this might be considered the main flaw in Purified water. Because it also removes the minerals and deposits, eating a healthy diet rich in vegetables, seeds, nuts and fruits or following
the Phytonutrient Smoothie Diet.
(If you have been drinking alot of Spring water, you might want to get some purified water in your system, to rid your body of any build up of inorganic mineral deposits left from the Spring water.)

Ionized water is key to health...
Compared to any processed water for sale, however, Ionized Water with its reduction potential of -250 to -300 mV is beyond comparison due to its ability to scavenge active oxygen radicals.
Redox Potential not pH is the defining factor:
ORP, or oxidation-reduction potential is more important than pH - ORP via electrolysis make the molecules somewhat thinner or more available and also work like antioxidant to work on free radicals.

I personally go between Alkaline water and Purified utilizing a water ionizer, beginning with purified water and working my way up to 9.0 pH. The most visible difference is, my urine is clear rather than cloudy. I have had cloudy urine for years off and on. I take this as a good sign. From what I have read, Alkaline water can help your body clean out your intestine so that it's reabsorption function is enhanced. Often there is a build up of fecal matter on the walls of the intestine. Alkaline water has shown to help the removal of this build up. The shower and bathtub are areas that are usually overlooked, yet are a significant source of chlorine exposure. Hot steam opens pores and increases chlorine absorption through the skin. Additionally, it increases chlorine gas inhalation via the lungs. Chlorine is highly toxic to the body. Shower filters to remove chlorine are inexpensive. Your hair and skin will notice a pleasant difference quickly.
I am using a Vitamin C type filter that neutralizes chlorine and notice that my skin is becoming less dry. I just switched from a charcoal filter, which worked great also. I really don't have a preference and they are both inexpensive.
