Phytonutrients / Phytochemicals...
are nutrients that are found in the skins of many vegetables, and fruits, including (but not limited to) tomatoes, red onions, grapes, green tea, red cabbage, broccoli, parsley, raspberries, spinach, garlic and blackberries. Also, these nutrients found in grains, and seeds like the avocado seed, apple seed etc. (all the things your normally cut off and throw away). They can boost the immune system, protect against heart disease, and reduce the risk of chronic ailments. In plants, phytonutrients are found in the cells, and provide protection from the damaging rays of the sun. Nutrients that are attributed to carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins, and minerals are not the same nutritional qualities found in phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are classified as "non-nutrient" compounds and need to come from the whole source or food source as nature intended.

So far, more than 25,000 different phytonutrients have been discovered in fruits, and vegetables. For example: In a tomato there are over thousands of different phytonutrients. Some of the common classes of phytonutrients / phytochemicals including: Carotenoids (vision) in carrots, sufforaphane (Antioxidant) in broccoli, proanthocyanidins (Antioxidant effective up to 50 times more then Vitamin 'E.') in red grapes, and the protease inhibitors (Block the enzyme that causes HIV) and phytoestrogens (Lower risk of breast, prostate, colon cancer. Also, reduce heart disease and osteoporosis) in soy, and Phytonutrients in blueberries and bilberries slow down brain aging, and have improved vision in rats.

With the use of a 3 HP blender, you can unlock the phytonutrients in the seeds and other parts of the foods that are too tough to chew/break down small enough or grind up with an ordinary 2 HP blender (or less), the key is to make these foods bio-available, in otherwords, so small that your body can absorb them rather than try to break them down.
