How many treatments will I need?

I have to say that this is the single most asked question and also one of the hardest to answer. What I usually say is that we are taught that 10 treatments is standard, but so far I have not worked on the same issue for 10 sessions in a row. Generally by 3 treatments, you will notice a change, some people notice a change after just one treatment, but this is not the norm. Between 5 and 7 treatments is probably the best answer.

Do the needles hurt?

Basically, most people don't notice them at all. Some points are more sensitive, but even those points can be not felt, depending on the pain/stress level of the patient at the time.

The needles are designed to pop in quickly and end up under the nerve sensitive part of the skin, so they are rarely felt. They are also micro-thin and slide in rather than tear the tissue like a hollow hypodermic needle that are used for injections. Most first-time patients are amazed it does not hurt at all.

Are the needles sterile?

I use sterile, single-use needles which is the standard in the industry in the U.S.

Can you cure my disease?

We do not use the word "cure" (from what I understand the allopathic doctors and prescription drug companies are the only profession/modality that get away with the claim to cure) Acupunturist will never say they can "cure" anything, but miracles seem to happen when the body is in balance and that is what Acupuncture does...allows the body to come back into balance, then, the body heals itself from my perspective. Our bodies are amazing and capable of more than we give credit.
