My Views on Health & Healing

Basically my view is: Balance is Everything...In order for the body to be healthy and function optimally, it needs to be in balance. From Insomnia to Infertility, Migraines to Indigestion, there needs to be balance.

I have been interested in balance and good health through nutrition, from an early age. I was the child eating the left-over spinach at the dinner table and asking for more vetegables.

I became interested in the Healing Arts after experiencing the powerful effects of Acupuncture, Bioenergetic Therapies and Nutrition with my own personal health issue and set out on a course to become licensed to offer these tools to other people like me. That was the beginning....I have seen great things happen when the body finds it's proper balance: headaches & pain disappear, women find they can finally conceive, depression and stress become non-existent...

Living as a healthy human today, is not easy. We are constantly running from place to place, spending endless hours working, sitting in front of the computer or TV. We are lucky if we have time to grab a sandwich from the fast food place on the way to work. Snacking on nutritionally-empty junk food is commonplace.

Now, more than ever, I see the need for good supplemental nutrition. It is not like the old days when food was full of nutrition (and flavor), Today, the nutritional value of the food we eat is greatly diminished and the proper supplementation is necessary for healthy survival and optimal healing.

Considering the health of the nation, the epidemic-type situation of things such as Diabetes, Tuberculosis, HIV etc. it is time to open our minds to the possibilities/technologies that are readily available these days through Alternative therapies.

I am aligned with the Chinese Medical philosophy: to start with the safest, least invasive procedure i.e. food therapy, good nutrition, then moxabustion (warming herbal therapy) and Tui Na (Chinese Acupressure Massage), then Acupuncture, then Herbal Therapy. If dealt with early enough, my experience is; that most things can be address in the first 3 or 4  stages before ever getting to pharmaceutical medication.

These therapies are non-invasive, more natural, healthy and balancing for the body.

Chinese Medicine is only one part of what I have to offer.

Although not all modalities are covered by Health Care Insurance as of yet, which may be a concern for some, I challenge you to sit down and consider the amount of money you spend on untested supplements (and maybe coffee!), in hopes that they will provide you with what you need. And redirect that money to an Alternative therapy or nutrition regimen tailored to your issue. The results just may astound you, including an increase in energy so, you may not need that "coffee buzz.”

Wishing you Good Health and Healing!
