Clean up your Health for Optimal Healing & Food Therapy:
The body is commonly overloaded with toxins, heavy metals, chemicals, allergens, etc. derived from the air we breath and the water we drink, to the hormones in the meat and pesticides on our fruits. But there are a few worthwhile things that can help your body rid itself of some of these and allow it to start the healing process.
Remember, Rome wasn't built overnight, and you did not get into this state of health overnight either, so do what you can, but try to be as persistent and consistent as you can, without stressing yourself out. The more you can do and keep doing, the healthier you will become, you will be amazed at the health issues that begin to disappear.
1st: Tap Water: Start using filtered water or LIVE WATER! whenever possible, get a good filter system if you are able or you can start buying bottled water. In Florida, Publix has a good purified water that is fairly inexpensive. (Just note that if it smells funny or tastes bad, there is something wrong, as even the big companies can miss changing the filter, use your common sense, I filter my own, which gives me better control and is more convenient than lugging bottles around) I found a portable filter from Aquathin and am very happy with it.
2nd: Artificial Sugars: We have all heard the dangers of artificial sugars but what are you to do when you have that sweet tooth bugging you? Actually, there are a few options... Stevia is a healthy sweetener (usually found the health food stores). Of course, sweeten your tooth with the natural alternative: FRUIT :) Watch gum and breath mints, read labels, it is hidden everywhere.
The Diet Cola Story: A friend of mine (after I told her artificial sugars block the body), quit drinking 5-6 diet sodas a day and started drinking purified water (no other changes in her diet). She lost 25 lbs in 2 months! It was shocking. I did not think she was terribly overweight but, she had been gaining a little every year for the past 8 or 9 years. After losing 25 lbs, she looked 10 years younger and MUCH healthier!
But mainly what you need to know, Sugar cravings are an indication of nutritional insufficiency. The body is looking for something similar to sugar, and sugar or carbs are the closest thing it can find.
3rd: Milk and milk products: They seem to clog up the body, create mucous and blockages. Eliminate what you can, read up on milk related to health, educate yourself. The less things the body has to try to eliminate, the more it can heal.
Just those few things are a great beginning and will most likely show surprising improvements. For more improvement ...
4rd: Good Nutrition: How do you know your nutritional supplements are good or good for you? I can help, I utilize a type of applied kinesiology or muscle response testing. You bring in whatever you are taking and I will test your body for that substance. (Not everyone is "testable", but if you are, usually I can also teach you how to test yourself!)
5th: White Things/Processed: White things are processed or bleached (would you DRINK bleach? Would you put even a DROP of bleach in your drinking water or your children's - pretty sure there is bleach in your tap water) Bleach is a chemical toxic to the body, think about it...do you clean with bleach? (you are inhaling it, no gloves? it is going in through your skin etc.)
Processed things, like flour or sugar for that matter have all the nutrients taken out. If you have to have sugar, get some natural sugar crystals or pure natural maple syrup (B grade has nutrients still inside). Opt for more whole, natural products. The more good stuff you put in your body, the more it can get rid of what is already there, built up from years of neglect (and, most likely blocking your healing process).
Try organic, grown in your area fruits and vegetables. I buy from a local organic market once a week and am always surprised how long it stays fresh. The flavors far surpass even the health food store produce. It reminds me of my childhood when the Vegetable Man came to our house with fresh vegetables from a local farm. Yummy!
6th: We are multi-leveled beings, so we need to address our thinking and acting as well. Start by cleaning up the way you think, eliminating negative thoughts, thought patterns, and start forming your thoughts and words in a more positive way. Not an easy thing to do at first. Whenever you catch yourself, restructure the thought or sentence to be more positive. Keep working on it. As in physics, what you put out eventually comes back. If a common saying is: "This is killing me", you might want to start changing that! (try: "This used to bother me" or better "I feel great!" - you don't have to believe it, just say it, eventually you will feel great.)
7th: Acupuncture is great for many things, for pain it is number one.
Now you are on your way to optimal healing, allowing your body to repair & heal. Enjoy Good Health, Enjoy Life.
