Secrets to use before Surgery...

Don't know why you have hip pain, knee pain, ankle, even low back pain?

It can be directly related to the WAY you walk, read & try the easy exercise described below and possibly eliminate your need for surgery...

Classic Toe Syndrome - Have you noticed your Great Toe/Big Toe creeping laterally (toward your second toe, like in the 2nd set of feet above) and looking kind of crooked? This is Classic Toe Syndrome and becoming more prevelant, why? We were never really instructed how to walk properly, can it be correctly? In most cases, most certainly!

Have you been having knee pain, getting worse and worse, but you have not really had an injury like a fall or something hit it?

Does your low back bother you when you walk and you don't know why or your hips seem out of whack?

Do your ankles ache or lock-up all the time, your feet need arches in your shoes , the soles of your shoes wear down on one side, or you feet ache when you walk?

You might consider the idea that you are walking improperly.

Most people I see, walk from their hips, we learned to walk from watching other people, so our whole family probably walks that way and it looks correct, but it is NOT. Try to observe the way you are walking and if you have the above symptoms, then....

Give this simple technique a try for a month and see what changes arise. I have offered this instruction to countless clients; clients considering and some "scheduled-for-surgery", after practicing this method for just a week, they reconsidered and cancelled their scheduled surgeries... good luck!

Any fine tuning questions (or other health questions), please go back to the home page and submit your question. (More secrets for Hip issues, see below) Good Luck & Good Health to you!

First, write down what is bothering you (if it is your toe creeping, trace a drawing of your foot with attention to the angle of the Big Toe) date it, and put a mark on your calendar for a month to recheck.ImageWalkingGait

Second, imagine your knee as a hinge, it should go back and forth, now think that your hip is also a hinge and it goes forward and back. Instead of scooping your inner knee forward and inward, kick your foot out using your knee, as if kicking a ball with your toe. This is the movement you need.

Third and most important, when you walk, you should be landing on your heel and rolling from your heel to the ball of your foot - SPECIFICALLY with the weight of your body distributed on the ball of your foot just behind your Great Toe/Big Toe and the next toe or second toe . Your foot should be pointing forward or out by 2-6 degrees

It does not matter if you wear heels, flat shoes, tennis shoes or go barefoot, pay attention to your walking whenever you think about it, try to keep reminding yourself especially when you exercise.

If you walk correctly, you will not need arches in your shoes, you will build up the muscle on the medial (inside) of your leg, calf and foot (which has become atrophied or weak) and your feet, ankles, knees, hips and low back will be balanced and begin to function more naturally and most likely your pain will start to be relieved or simple go away. Shoe tip: Always consider rubber soles for your shoes, which are good for shock absorbers, especially if you are on your feet alot!
